Piano School Hosts Kawai Workshop

Our Musical Instrument Crafts Piano School recently had the privilege of hosting a workshop with Kawai, where students learned about the inner workings and tuning of hybrid pianos.

This collaboration is part of our commitment to educating students about new and emerging technologies in the industry.

Current piano student, Ronan Logue, said: "The visit from Kawai was an illuminating experience. The demonstration on the Kawai hybrid piano by Nigel Walker was very in depth showing us the needs to tune and problem solve any issues with the acoustic and digital elements of the hybrid pianos we may see on our travels.

"The introductory video into the new evolution of Kawai pianos was fascinating to watch and it fills myself with great pride training to be a future piano technician that the relationship between Kawai and piano tuners is a strong bond.

"I look forward to meeting more representatives from Kawai in the future. The visit marks an important milestone for the Piano School as we strengthen our connections to the piano trade."

We are thrilled to announce that Kawai will be continuing to work in partnership with the School of Musical Instrument Crafts and were truly impressed by the BA (Hons) Musical Instrument Crafts (Piano Tuning and Restoration) degree course and students during their visit.
