Biography
Course Coordinator and Teacher Piano Tuning and Restoration at Newark College since 2023.
Having graduated from Newark College in ‘90, Simon began working at the RNCM tuning for six years before starting his employment with Steinway & Sons as the Midlands tuner, resident at Symphony Hall and as head technician for Birmingham Conservatoire plus the CBSO orchestra.
Within this role came contact with world class musicians and an extensive list of the world’s leading pianists.
In 2015, he started working for Yamaha in Milton Keynes preparing the new instruments before distribution to the dealers.
Having always mentored younger technicians, Simon is delighted to share his experience with the new students.
