Ask Eide

Teaches Guitar Making and Repair at Newark College since 2022.

Originally from Norway, Ask Steinkjer Eide moved to Newark in 2019 to study at the guitar making school. 

With an education and work experience in furniture making from Norway, Ask was able to make a wide variety of instruments in his three years at Newark College, including a Selmer-Maccaferri style guitar and an archtop guitar. 

He has also attended the violin evening class to further widen his knowledge of stringed instruments. 

Ask is now teaching at the College, alongside making and repairing guitars in his home workshop.
